These are expansions for The Quest by Redshift, and they are all incredibly detailed, fully-featured classic role playing games. They can all be played as standalone games, but to play them in sequence is a lot more fun, plus you can keep useful items from earlier games, including The Quest and its other expansions. You can also continue to teleport to locations in the earlier games if you install them all through the main app.
Mithril Horde (HD)
Another great expansion for Redshift’s The Quest. You’re a Savirian veteran of the ill-fated Lukomorian war, returning home to the west. Your sovereign, Lord Yuz, ruler of the exotic, westernmost province of the Mithril Horde, has summoned you to help re-establish his independence from the Mithril Horde. This one is aimed at players at least Level 21, which should be where you are if you did the other expansions out so far (Islands of Ice & Fire, and Hero of Lukomorye I & II). It can be played standalone, or installed into The Quest. As ever it’s a classic, in depth RPG with plenty of dialogue, sidequests, different gear, skills and spells. All the NPCs from the Hero of Lukomorye chapters turn up in the Mapmakers Guild, and you need to solve quests for nearly all of them before they let you join. Many quests in this game are sequential: for example you need to solve a particular quest to gain the ability to solve a future one. Mithril Horde II
**This is still the Classic version, not HD**
The sequel to the Mithril Horde expansion for Redshift’s The Quest. It’s aimed at players at least Level 35, to follow on directly from the first Mithril Horde. Lord Yuz wants you to travel to the southern country of Caspara to find a magic tome to free his cousin Princess Yasmine from the spell of the great dragon king, Bethlusaa. Like the rest of The Quest series it’s a classic, in depth RPG with plenty of dialogue, sidequests, different gear, skills and spells. There are 70 quests and lots of new monsters. There is also a separate quest guide you can get in the App Store with detailed information on solving quests and visual guides for “trickier missions”. Or of course there are the great people in the Catacomber forums, always ready with tips and hints and spoilers.
