Knights of the Old Republic, aka KOTOR, is one of the biggest RPGs to arrive for iOS, and really shows how powerful the platform is now. Originally a 2003 Xbox title, the Star Wars-themed game is an epic, western RPG with a huge storyline and numerous sidequests. You play as the mysterious main character, and have a party selected from nine customisable characters, travelling through eight vast worlds. There’s a tonne of major quests and sidequests, plus moral choices that will decide whether you lean to the light side or the dark side of the Force. Your appearance changes based on these, and if you max out Dark or Light, you get Mastery bonus stats.
There’s a tonne of information out there about this game, including in depth wikis from the years since its original release. Suffice it to say that the ported iOS version is coming in for big praise, with the interface redesigned for a touchscreen. You will need to free up at least 4gb of space to download and install it.
